With over 30 years of experience, Juan Carlos advises clients worldwide on the creation, protection, enforcement, and maximization of intellectual and industrial property rights, as well as other intangible assets. He leads international portfolio strategies, participating in audits, complex commercial transactions, and agreements related to these assets.

His practice covers all areas of Intellectual Property, with a strong focus on dispute resolution and the design of global strategies for protecting intangible assets. Beyond his professional practice, Juan Carlos is a university professor and speaker in Argentina and abroad, where he is recognized for using disruptive methods that inspire students and colleagues alike.

He leads the postgraduate program “Intellectual Property and Disruptive Technologies: Blockchain, NFTs, e-Gaming, and Artificial Intelligence” at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), where he also teaches in Master’s programs and supervises theses.

Juan Carlos is also the creator, together with Marcasur, of the podcast “De la A a la Z”, a series of interviews exploring the life stories of leaders in the world of Intellectual Property worldwide.

His work has been consistently recognized by international publications including Chambers & Partners, Managing IP, WTR1000, Benchmark Litigation, and The Legal 500. His most recent distinctions include:

Experience

Juan Carlos began his career in 1985 at Clarke Modet & Cía (Argentina). In 2001, he founded the Intellectual Property Department at Bruchou Fernández Madero, Lombardi & Mitrani. He later led the IP practice at Mitrani, Caballero & Ojam until 2017, when he founded Berton Moreno + Ojam. In 2020, he became a founding partner and Managing Partner of Ojam Bullrich Flanzbaum.

In 2025, he co-founded Ojam IP together with Paula Galván, Camila Sirianni, and Mariel Chichisola.
