Paula is an intellectual property attorney and trusted advisor, with almost three decades of experience in the strategic protection, enforcement, and development of intangible assets.  Her practice spans the full IP spectrum, including trademarks, patents, industrial designs, copyright, and domain names, with a strong focus on complex administrative proceedings, pre-litigation strategies, and multi-jurisdictional portfolio management.

She works extensively on local and cross-border prosecution and filing strategies for trademarks, patents, and designs, as well as enforcement and opposition matters.  Paula also advises on IP-related agreements, licensing frameworks, transactional IP, and matters involving advertising and marketing law, as well as the protection of geographical indications and appellations of origin.  Her approach combines legal precision with a pragmatic, business-oriented perspective.

With a particular interest in technological innovation and artificial intelligence, she approaches legal challenges in these fields with curiosity, foresight, and a deep understanding of the evolving legal and commercial landscape.  She frequently writes on intellectual property and innovation, contributing articles to specialized and professional publications at both national and international levels.

Paula is actively involved in academia.  She coordinates the postgraduate program “Intellectual Property and Disruptive Technologies: Blockchain, NFTs, e-Gaming, and Artificial Intelligence”, directed by Juan Carlos Ojam, at Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), and is a regular lecturer in UCA’s Master’s programs, where she also serves as thesis advisor.  Paula is also an active member of the International Trademark Association (INTA), with growing participation in its committees.

Her work has been recognized by international publications such as WTR 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals and Leaders League, in the areas of litigation, registration, strategy, and intangible asset protection.

Experience

Paula began her career in Intellectual Property in 1997.  She served as Director of the Trademark Department at a leading Argentine IP firm and later became a partner at Ojam Bullrich Flanzbaum.

In 2025, she co-founded Ojam IP together with Mariel Chichisola, Juan Carlos Ojam, and Camila Sirianni.
